Dr. Joseph Graves, Jr., a professor of evolutionary biology and African American studies at Arizona State University, believes that humans cannot be separated by genetics into races. Author of The Emperor’s New Clothes: Biological Theories of Race At The Millennium, Graves says that there are too many shared genes between people of European and African descent in the U.S. to allow for racial delineation.
